Our principle: collect only what is strictly necessary, explain exactly how we use your data and retain nothing that is unnecessary.
Data controller
The controller of the data collected on prepcareer.fr is KARTESE FORMATION (SAS), 59 rue de Ponthieu, Bureau 326, 75008 Paris —contact@prepcareer.fr.
How we process data
1. Enquiries and newsletter
- Data collected: your email address, the form source (originating page), the date and proof of your consent, and your first name or phone number where requested by the form, particularly to receive and follow up on a screening assessment. For follow-up emails, we also retain technical sending, delivery and click statuses and, where image loading allows it, an indication that the email was opened.
- Purpose: to send the requested content (guide, assessment report or newsletter), follow up on serious enquiries and contact you about your preparation if you consent.
- Legal basis: your consent, obtained through an explicit checkbox that is never pre-selected. Assessment reports are sent to the address provided to reduce the use of fictitious email addresses.
- Recipient: this data is forwarded to our email service Resend (Resend, Inc.). It is neither sold nor shared with other third parties.
- Retention period: 3 years after your last contact, after which it is deleted. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
Open detection relies on loading a remote image, which your email service may block, cache or preload. It is therefore a technical indicator rather than conclusive proof that the email was read.
2. Screening engine
The assessment is calculated from your CV and target. Result data is temporarily retained in your browser until the report is sent, then transmitted to the server when you request the assessment email and provide your contact details.
3. CV analysis
If you submit your CV, the PDF is transmittedin memory to our artificial intelligence provider (OpenAI or Anthropic, depending on the configuration) for the duration of the analysis. It isnever stored on our servers, never written to disk and never logged. No copy is retained once the analysis result has been returned.
4. Appointment booking (Calendly)
Free assessment calls are booked through Calendly. The calendar loads when the booking page is opened or when you activate an embedded calendar button on another page. Loading it establishes a connection to Calendly. If you book a time slot, the information you enter (name, email and selected time) is sent to Calendly LLC(United States), which processes it in accordance with itsprivacy policy.
5. Accounts & forum access
- Data collected: your email address, your name (optional), your password (hashed by our processor Supabase; we never have access to it in plain text) and a forum access flag.
- Purpose: to provide restricted access to the interview forum, manually approved by our team.
- Legal basis: your consent (an explicit checkbox that is never pre-selected when creating an account) and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- Processor: Supabase, which hosts authentication and the accounts database.
- Retention period: until your account is deleted, which you can request at any time.
- Your rights: you can access your data, rectify it and request its erasure (see “Your rights” below).
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at:contact@prepcareer.fr. We respond within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Cookies and trackers
The functional pc_locale cookie stores your language choice (French or English) for one year. It contains no other data and is not used for advertising tracking.
Audience measurement is performed with Vercel Web Analytics. The sessionStorage used by the screening engine is strictly functional: it is used only to retain your progress during your visit and is cleared when the tab is closed. The Calendly calendar loads when the booking page is opened or when you activate an embedded calendar button (see processing activity 4 above).
